Gülsu Çivril Dündar completed her undergraduate education at the Department of Philosophy at Middle East Technical University (METU), and her master’s and doctoral studies at the Department of Philosophy at Dokuz Eylül University. Within the scope of the Erasmus exchange program, she studied for one semester each at Charles University (Czech Republic) and the University of Ioannina (Greece).

Her main areas of research are epistemology, twentieth-century philosophy, phenomenology, and existentialism. She has worked particularly on the philosophy of mind and the concept of intentionality. She is currently employed as a research assistant in the Department of Philosophy at Dokuz Eylül University.
