Hakan Çörekcioğlu completed his undergraduate and graduate studies in the Department of Philosophy at Ege University. With doctoral and postdoctoral scholarships from the DAAD, he conducted research on political philosophy at the University of Hamburg. His main areas of expertise are Western philosophy, the history of philosophy, political philosophy, Kant and German Idealism, Renaissance culture, and utopianism. In addition to his articles published in various academic journals, he is the author of the books The Political Universe of Kantian Philosophy, The Nature of the Renaissance, and Deleuze, Modernity, and Utopia. He is currently a faculty member in the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Letters, Dokuz Eylül University.
