The Department of Philosophy at Dokuz Eylül University was established in 1998 and began admitting students in 2011. It currently offers education at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
The department has six academic staff members: three professors, one assistant professor, and two research assistants holding doctoral degrees. Its teaching activities, research projects, and initiatives in the field of social contribution are continuously reviewed, updated, and developed.
The department offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programmes. At the undergraduate level, students who meet the necessary requirements may pursue a double major in Sociology, Linguistics, or Archaeology. They may also complete a minor in Psychology, Sociology, American Culture and Literature, English Translation and Interpreting, Linguistics, Museum Studies, Archaeology, or History.
